Chief Executive Director of Resolution at the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority

Dr Thorsten Pötzsch has been Chief Executive Director of Resolution at the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin) since January 2018. His previous positions include serving as a Member of the Management Committee at the Federal Agency for Financial Market Stabilisation and as Head of Directorate at the Federal Ministry of Finance. He is also a Member of the Single Resolution Board’s Plenary Session and a Member of the European Banking Authority’s Resolution Committee.
